Since 2010 we have brought people closer to nature through education, hiking and volunteering.
The Drumeții Montane Association was born out of the wish to do that SOMETHING we all say needs doing but never take the next step towards. It was born on the ridge of the Parâng Mountains, in the forests of Vâlcan and on the riverbanks of Retezat, hoping to be the answer to the question: WHO?
We set out on a long road, confident that we can teach the people around us a green way of thinking, and determined to do as much as we can to protect nature in all its forms.
Mountain hiking defines us as a way of life and as our favourite activity; we will never be able to describe the joy we feel when we set off with a backpack.
We explore, learn and protect nature together with the youngest. Eco Junior brings the mountains closer to pupils through outdoor experiences and nature lessons in schools and kindergartens in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

The national sports tourism championship brings youth, tourism, sports and environmental NGOs to the same start line. Together we walk the trails, promote an active lifestyle and help protect the mountains.
