“Eco-friendly Planet... This is our Home, Keepit Clean!” with the Mountain Hiking Association

The Asociatia Drumetii Montane (Mountain Hiking Association) carried out ecotourism activities within the Eco-friendly Planet project ... This is our Home, Keep it Clean !, project funded by the European Commission through ANPCDEFP Bucharest, being part of the Lifelong Learning Program, being a project between 2 schools.

The 27 young Bulgarians who arrived in Gorj County participated in hiking activities where they traveled the thematic-educational route "Forest Stories" after which they received information about mountain equipment and the use of the compass. The young people proved to be receptive and very excited about this activity and participated in the tourist orientation contest - where they were able to put into practice what they learned.

The young Bulgarians received informative materials about everything they can visit in Gorj County, these materials were made available by the Gorj County Council.

“Eco-friendly Planet ... This is our Home, Keep it Clean!” is a two-year partnership proposed by two schools, one from Bulgaria, Technicheska Profesionalna Guimnasiya "Nikola" represented by Mrs. Mariana Kolarska and one from Romania, Traian Vuia Auto College in Targu Jiu, represented by Mr. Liviu Udrescu. Although it is a language project, the theme is closely related to the surrounding reality, given that its purpose is to inspire not only students and teachers, but also the communities around our schools to clean, repair and preserve the environment.
