Bike RideTârgu Jiu

Twenty-seven pupils from Energy School Group No. 1 (Grupul Școlar Energetic Nr. 1) in Târgu Jiu had an energising day yesterday, 12 May, when, under the coordination of teacher Daniel Murarita, they took part in a bike ride. After this action had been postponed for more than a week, a delay caused by unfavourable weather, the participants set off yesterday at 13:00 from the premises of the above-mentioned institution, heading for Cheile Sohodolului and returning along the same route – almost 60 km in total! Besides the exercise and the fun they had, the young people also learnt a few traffic rules and rules of ecological conduct and, above all, sent a message to the more sedentary among us: sport is important in a person's life! A message that will be promoted through other such exercise-experiments in the weeks to come.
