The Drumeții Montane Association is launching the sixth edition of the national Eco Junior project, which has enjoyed real success thanks to the large number of schools and teachers involved over all these years.
The Eco Junior project aims to promote an attitude of respect towards the environment, to raise children's awareness of protecting ecosystems, to develop an ecological spirit, to research, study, explore and defend the environment, and to have the teachers involved develop cultural programmes together with the volunteers of the Drumeții Montane Association.
The Drumeții Montane Association invites all teachers and schools in the country to take part again this year in the largest environmental education project in Romania, where everyone will participate under a single name, "Eco Junior".
The number of schools enrolled in the project in 2018 was 560, and 3,000 teachers became volunteers of the Drumeții Montane Association and organised various ecological and cultural activities to promote a healthy lifestyle among children.
Parents have understood that their child's extracurricular involvement is beneficial to his or her personal development and have encouraged teachers to organise as many activities as possible.
As every year, the Eco Junior project is organised by volunteers. The Drumeții Montane Association thanks the teachers and schools that got involved and who have shown that their pupils are like their own children.
