Munții Baiului are a gateway for escaping into the heart of nature, appreciated and visited by a great many tourists who choose to enjoy their charm and natural scenery, but many do not realise that the mountain must be protected.
As every year, the Alpin Club Pro-Mont Bucharest Association is organising clean-up activities in mountain areas, and this year it has chosen the Clăbucet ski slope in Predeal and the trails in this tourist area.
The clean-up activity will take place on Saturday, 24 April 2021, at the base of the Clăbucet slope.
The choice of these trails for the clean-up is not random, the main motivation being our contribution to obtaining this calling card for tourists from all over the world.
Cleaning up mountain areas is an essential component of today's everyday life. People have the right to a healthy life, in harmony with nature.
The clean-up activity will take place within the "Munte Verde și Curat" (Green and Clean Mountain) project and is supported by the Youth Foundation of the Municipality of Bucharest, the Predeal National Centre for Tourist Information and Promotion, Salvamont Predeal, as well as by pupils from the schools and high schools of Predeal.
Through this project, the Alpin Club Pro-Mont Bucharest Association wishes to promote an attitude of respect towards the environment, to raise tourists' awareness of protecting ecosystems, to develop an ecological spirit, and to research, study, explore and defend the environment.
The Alpin Club Pro-Mont Bucharest Association believes it will succeed in educating tourists to live in a green spirit and with the desire to protect nature, being a viable partner for public authorities, educational institutions, and custodians and administrators of protected natural areas.
