The "Cocoșul de Munte" Mountain Tourism Association from Brașov invites you, from 10 to 12 June, to the 2nd edition of the "Cocoșul de Munte" Trophy, which will take place in the Ciucaș Massif, near the Muntele Roșu Chalet. This is an outdoor challenge sporting event and represents the 2nd stage of the "Ștafeta Munților" (the Mountain Relay) National Sports Tourism Championship.
Anyone can take part in this event, regardless of fitness, experience or age. All participants have to do is put together a team of 3 people and register in one of the 6 competition categories: Open, Family, Women, Veterans, Elite or Juniors. The competition events are varied, and those who do not wish to take part in the hike and remain in the camp can spend their time in the various activities designed to keep them in good spirits.
Besides the mountain raid (the hike), competitors will also have to face other events. The theory test, in which each team must answer a set of 15 general-knowledge questions about the area where the competition takes place. Each team member will answer 5 questions. This event is timed. Another event is tourist orienteering, which will take place after the regularity route has been completed. The orienteering is relay-style, with all team members taking part. Orienteering will be done with a compass, by taking bearings.
On Saturday evening, around the campfire, the much-loved cultural event will take place. This is an optional event. Those who wish to register and delight the audience will have to sing 2–3 songs and recite a poem (preferably on a mountain theme), then present a sketch (theatre).

The "Cocoșul de Munte" Mountain Tourism Association is a cultural, educational and sporting organisation that brings together nature lovers and all those interested in getting to know, studying and protecting nature in BRAȘOV county and throughout the country.
The aim of the "Cocoșul de Munte" Mountain Tourism Association is ecological research and education, the assessment and preservation of the natural heritage, and the physical and intellectual preparation of its members with a view to achieving the proposed goals.
