The Carpatia Tourism and Ecology Association invites you, on 6–9 June 2025, to the GRAND PRIX ROMANIA 2025 MULTISPORT FESTIVAL in the Piatra Craiului Mountains.
Competition centre: CABANA BRUSTURET, Dâmbovicioara commune, Argeș County.

COMPETITION CATEGORIES:
Teams may enter one of the following competition categories:
• JUNIORS – 3 people (14–20 years old*);
• ELITE – 3 people (no age restrictions);
• SENIORS – 3 people (35–50 years old);
• VETERANS – 3 people (50+ years old);
• WOMEN – 3 girls (no age restrictions);
• OPEN – 3 people (no age restrictions);
• FAMILY – 3 people, at least one adult + at least one child (max. 13 years old);
• SPORTS TOURISM** – 3 people, mixed (no age restrictions);
* The ages reached on the date of the competition are taken into account;
** Scores in the CNCTS ranking; may also score for the OPEN category
COMPETITION EVENTS:
1. MOUNTAIN RAID involves covering a pre-established mountain route.
The duration (5–8 hours) and the difficulty differ depending on the category chosen.
Compulsory equipment:
Individual: boots or shoes with a grippy sole / mountain trail footwear, rain cape (waterproof jacket), torch, water bottle, whistle.
Collective (per team): compass, first-aid kit, rucksack, fire source.
2. THEORY KNOWLEDGE – a multiple-choice test with 15 questions (each team member will answer five questions); the questions will be posted on www.turismsportiv.ro/GrandPrixRomania and www.stafetamuntilor.ro.
The time allowed for the event is 7 minutes.
3. ORIENTEERING – covering a pre-established route with the help of a map and compass. All team members take part. Route length: 1.5–2.5 km in plan (as the crow flies), with a maximum elevation difference of approximately 100 m.
4. CLIMBING – completing a rock route of medium difficulty, belayed, top-rope style, using only natural holds. Length 12–20 m. Time per competitor – maximum 5 minutes. One person from each team takes part. In the Family category, a child from the team takes part.
5. MOUNTAIN RUNNING – covering a marked route. Held by category (W – 3 km, M – 5 km). Several members per team may take part. In the W category, children may also compete.
6. CULTURAL EVENT – a cultural and artistic programme (poetry, music and humour) with a theme specific to mountain tourism, performed by at least 3 people from the same club.
7. OTHER SURPRISE EVENTS for adults and children
PRIZES:
By category: According to the ranking obtained by adding up the points obtained by a team in the events in which it takes part.
Overall ranking: By adding up the results of a club's teams in the best 4 competition categories.
NOTES:
• Minors take part in activities and competitions only with the consent of their parents or legal guardian. ACCESS
Road access:
Access from DN 73 Pitești – Câmpulung – Brașov: (from the village of Podu Dâmboviței it is approx. 10 km, along the Dâmbovicioara river, upstream of the Dâmbovicioara Cave).
CAMPING/ACCOMMODATION/MEALS:
The tent camp will be set up near Cabana Brusturet.
Accommodation: Cabana Brusturet – (10 rooms): – 3-night package (6–9 June) – 900 lei/double room (to book the accommodation package please contact the organiser. Confirmation is finalised after full payment of the accommodation package.
Meals can be served at the restaurant of Cabana Brusturet (capacity 60 seats).
*Camping and parking are in the areas indicated by the organisers.
ACCESS TO THE PIATRA CRAIULUI NATIONAL PARK
Given that we are in the Piatra Craiului National Park, an access fee of 10 lei / 7 days / person is charged. The fee applies to people aged over 14. Tickets can be purchased online from the website https://www.pcrai.ro/bilete.
ACCESS TO THE DÂMBOVICIOARA GORGE
For access to the Dâmbovicioara Gorge (Cheile Dâmbovicioarei) a fee of 3 lei/person is charged; it is paid at the entrance to the gorge (cash), where a barrier is installed.
