Promoting mountain hiking as a way of spending leisure time and, even more than that, as a way of getting to know the environment and learning how to live our lives in a healthy way, is the main concern of the members of the newest association, founded on 19 October 2010 in Târgu Jiu and called quite simply the Drumeții Montane Association.

Its launch will take place at the association's headquarters (19 Sf. Dumitru Street, Târgu Jiu, Gorj County) on 1 December, at 18:00.
On this occasion, the members of the association propose to all those interested a themed meeting, the subject of which will be People and the Mountain.
