Educated in an ecological spirit, children are the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world for the better. That is why over 220 schools in Romania and over 370 teachers have chosen to get involved this year in the Eco Junior 2015 Project, run by the Drumeții Montane Association.
The quality of the environment is directly reflected in the lives of pupils and their families. The ecological education activities through play that will take place within the "Să știi mai multe, să fii mai bun!" ("Know More, Be Better!") programme with the help of teachers, as well as those carried out in nature, help children become aware of the importance of nature conservation.
The Eco Junior 2015 Project, run by the Drumeții Montane Association out of the desire to educate as many pupils as possible in the ecological field, will take place between 6 and 10 April. The project is aimed at all teachers in Romania who are interested in ecological education and who wish to get involved as volunteers in organising eco-recreational activities with a playful touch.
Through these activities, pupils will acquire a set of ecological knowledge and a special attachment to nature, feeding their motivation and desire to take part in as many activities as possible to keep the environment as clean as possible.
The interaction between the representatives of the Drumeții Montane Association and pupils, through outdoor outings or the organisation of extracurricular activities with an ecological touch, has proved in previous years to be the most effective way of promoting the environment and a healthy lifestyle.
The activities within the Eco Junior 2015 Project vary according to the pupils' age, which is why the delegated teacher will choose the type of activities to be organised within the project.
The Eco Junior 2015 Project is supported by CH-Center.ro
