The Hai pe Munte! Iași Mountain Tourism Association, in partnership with the Ceahlău National Park Administration, Salvamont Neamț and S.C. Schubert & Franzke S.R.L., invites you to take part on 26–28 May 2017 in the first edition of
TROFEUL "HAI PE MUNTE!" (the "Let's Go to the Mountains!" Trophy)
which will take place in Ceahlău National Park and will be the first stage of the ȘTAFETA MUNȚILOR National Sports Tourism Championship, 2017 edition.
Trofeul Hai pe Munte! is open both to members of the clubs taking part in the Ștafeta Munților Sports Tourism Championship and to other people who can organise themselves into teams and take part alongside the clubs, enjoying the same activities.
Camp location:
The tent camp will be set up at the Leon campsite, at the entrance to the Durău resort.

As the event will take place in a national park, the park's rules, which will be made known to you at the technical briefing, must be observed. Lighting fires is forbidden. There will be a single large fire pit.
The camp has permanent access to sanitary facilities (showers, washbasins, toilets).
On Friday, lights out is at 24:00.
Competition categories:
1. Family – teams of 3 people, with at least one adult and compulsorily at least one child aged 13 or under;
2. Juniors – teams of 3 people, regardless of sex, aged between 14 and 20 (completed years);
3. Elite – teams of 3 people, regardless of sex;
4. Women – teams of three women, regardless of age;
5. Seniors – teams of 3 people aged between 35 and 50, regardless of sex.
6. Veterans – teams of 3 people aged over 50, regardless of sex;
7. Open – teams of 3 people, regardless of age and sex. Times for this category are calculated as touring times;
COMPETITION EVENTS:
1. Mountain raid event:
- Difficulty level: medium
- Duration: 7–8 hours
- Team: made up of 3 members
- Physical fitness: good
- The route is marked
- Scoring: according to the Ștafeta Munților rules.
- This event cannot be entered without hiking boots or mountain footwear with a lugged sole, which also includes trail running "shoes"
- Counts towards the overall ranking of the competition
2. Orienteering event:
- The orienteering event will be held using a map
- The event will be taken by all the members of the team.
- Scoring: according to the Ștafeta Munților rules
- Counts towards the overall ranking of the competition
3. Theory test:
- It will be taken before setting off on the raid route by the members of the teams entered in the competition. The test will consist of 15 multiple-choice questions about the competition area, with a single correct answer, and will last a maximum of 7 minutes (the time being recorded for a possible tie-break in the event of a draw). Each team member will answer 5 questions.
The Family and Open categories will only answer picture-based questions

- Counts towards the overall ranking of the competition.
The bibliography for the theory tests can be found on the website www.stafetamuntilor.ro, at most one month before the event.
4. Cultural and artistic event:
- Theme: sport, tourism, nature, ecology;
- Duration: approx. 25 minutes;
- Scoring: according to the Ștafeta Munților rules.
- Content: music, poetry, humour
- Does not count towards the overall ranking of the competition;
5. Trail Cross-Country event:
The route of this event will not exceed 11 km and will be set by the organisers;
Participation fee: 30 lei/person;
Participation will be in the following categories: juniors/seniors, women/men;
Prizes: the winners of 1st place in each category will receive a prize. The prize will be awarded in cash and will consist of the equivalent of ½ of the fees collected in each category.

Does not count towards the overall ranking of the competition
Participation is individual. People taking part in the cross-country run cannot take part in other events of the competition, with the exception of the cultural event.
Equipment: participants must be equipped with footwear with a lugged sole.

Compulsory equipment:
Individual: torch, whistle, rain cape (waterproof jacket), hiking boots or footwear with a grippy sole (according to the Ștafeta Munților rules).
Team: compass, first-aid kit (recommended to contain at least 3 items such as: sterile bandage, sterile compresses, rivanol plasters, elastic bandage, disinfectant, survival blanket), rucksack, fire source, water bottle – min. 1 l (according to the Ștafeta Munților rules).
We inform participants that, depending on the weather forecast, we will decide whether the compulsory equipment will be checked.
Note:
- competitors who do not have hiking boots or footwear with a grippy sole cannot enter the mountain raid event.
Camp rules:
- Competitors will be accommodated in tents or cabins, under the guidance of the organisers.
The Leon campsite has the following accommodation available:
12 two-bed cabins – 50 lei/cabin
8 three-bed cabins – 65 lei/cabin
50 tent places – 7 lei/person/night, provided there is 100% occupancy.
Bookings for the campsite cabins are made directly with the organiser, on a "first come, first served" basis
- There will be a single fire pit; setting up additional fire pits is forbidden.
- Clubs are required to carry their rubbish to the special collection points near the camp.
- The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the programme of the competition events depending on the weather.
- Cars may be parked in the immediate vicinity of the camp under the guidance of the organisers

Other notes:
The entrance fee to Ceahlău National Park is 5 lei/person and will be paid by each competitor. The organisers undertake to collect the fee and hand it over to the Ceahlău National Park Administration.
We ask the participating clubs to inform the organisers in good time (at least 1 week in advance) of the number of teams taking part in the compulsory events as well as the number of participants in the cross-country run.
