The eighth edition of Trofeul Munților (the Mountains' Trophy) will take place in the Piatra Craiului Massif, in the Cabana Brusturet area, Dâmbovicioara commune.
The event is aimed both at members of the clubs taking part in the Sports Tourism Championship – Ștafeta Munților and at other people who will be able to organise themselves into teams, taking part alongside the clubs and enjoying the same activities.
Camp rules:
Because the event will take place in the Piatra Craiului National Park, certain rules will have to be observed, which will be made known to you at the technical briefing.
Making fires is forbidden. There will be a single large fire pit.
Competition events:
1. Mountain raid
- Difficulty level: medium
- Duration: 7–8 hours
- The route will be marked and secured by the organisers
- Points: in accordance with the Ștafeta Munților rules.
- Entry to this event is not possible without boots or mountain footwear with a profiled sole, which also includes trail running "trainers"
- Counts towards the overall ranking of the competition
2. Orienteering:
- A speed event, in which the whole team will take part.
- Points: in accordance with the Ștafeta Munților rules
- Counts towards the overall ranking of the competition
3. Theory (Tourism Knowledge):
- To be taken before setting off on the regularity route by the members of the teams entered in the competition. The test will consist of 15 multiple-choice questions about the competition area, with a single correct answer, and the maximum time allowed is 7 minutes. Each team member will answer 5 questions.
- Points: in accordance with the Ștafeta Munților rules
- Counts towards the overall ranking of the competition.

4. Climbing:
- Each team will designate one member who will complete a climbing route; the competitor will be belayed and will also receive a protective helmet. We do not provide climbing shoes.
- Difficulty level: medium
- Points: in accordance with the Trofeul Munților rules
- Counts towards the overall ranking of the competition;
5. Cultural:
- Theme: sport, tourism, nature, ecology;
- Duration: approx. 25 minutes;
- Points: in accordance with the Ștafeta Munților rules
- Content: at least 3 songs, a humorous sketch and a poem.
- Counts towards the overall ranking of the competition;
Important: for all compulsory events, the ȘTAFETA MUNȚILOR RULES, which you can find at www.stafetamuntilor.ro, must be strictly observed
Competition categories:
FAMILY – teams of 3 people, at least one adult and, compulsorily, at least one child aged 13 or under;
JUNIORS – teams of 3 people, regardless of gender, aged between 14 and 20;
ELITE – teams of 3 people, regardless of gender;
SENIORS – teams of 3 people aged between 35 and 50, regardless of gender.
VETERANS – teams of 3 people aged over 50, regardless of gender;
WOMEN – teams of three girls, regardless of age;
OPEN – teams of 3 people, regardless of age and gender. Times are calculated as touring times.

Friday, 22 July:
- 12:00 – 22:00 Reception of participants
- 22:30 Technical briefing
- 24:00 Lights out
Saturday, 23 July:
- 07:30 – 17:00 Technical and theory events
- 22:00 Cultural and artistic event and campfire
Sunday, 24 July:
- 11:00 – Awards ceremony
- 12:00 – Cleaning of the camp and departure of the participants
Note:
- competitors who do not have boots or footwear with a grippy sole may not enter the mountain raid event.
Camp rules:
- A fee of 10 lei/person will be charged, covering the entrance ticket to the National Park and access to the toilets.
- There will be a single fire pit; setting up additional fire pits is forbidden.
- Each club will receive a rubbish bag on arrival at the camp.
- Clubs are obliged to carry the rubbish they produce to the special collection points near the camp.
- The group leader is responsible for informing the members of their group of the accident-prevention rules and the norms of mountain conduct, as well as of the competition rules.
- The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the schedule of the competition events depending on the weather.
- Cars may be parked in the immediate vicinity of the camp under the guidance of the organisers; their access to the tent camp is forbidden.
