The "Arcul Carpatin" Ecological Association invites you to the first edition of Trofeul "ARCUL CARPATIN" (the Carpathian Arc Trophy) within the "Ștafeta Munților" National Sports Tourism Championship, organised on 5–7 August 2022 in the Ciucaș Mountains. This will be Stage IV of the National Sports Tourism Championship – Ștafeta Munților, 2022 edition.

The Silva Chalets area, Ciucaș Mountains – Muntele Roșu, Cheia 107356.
Whichever part of the country you come from, the destination is in Prahova County, the village of Cheia, Măneciu commune, near the Muntele Roșu chalet.
Trofeul "Arcul Carpatin" is open both to members of the clubs taking part in the Sports Tourism Championship – Ștafeta Munților and to anyone interested who can organise themselves into teams, taking part alongside the clubs and enjoying the same activities.
Camp rules:
As the event will take place on a developed private property, certain rules, which will be made known to you at the technical briefing, must be observed.
Lighting fires is forbidden. There will be a single large fire pit.
A camping fee of 5 lei/person will be charged.
RULES
1. Mountain raid event:
- Difficulty level: medium;
- Duration: 7–8 hours;
- The route will be marked and secured by the organisers;
- Scoring: according to the Ștafeta Munților rules;
- This event cannot be entered without hiking boots or mountain footwear with a lugged sole, which also includes trail running "trainers";
- The compulsory equipment for this event is:
• individual: mountain footwear with a lugged sole, torch, whistle, rain cape;
• team: compass, first-aid kit, water bottle, rucksack, fire source.
- Counts towards the overall ranking of the competition.
2. Orienteering event:
- Speed event in which the whole team will take part;
- Scoring: according to the Ștafeta Munților rules;
- Counts towards the overall ranking of the competition.
3. Theory tests:
- They will be taken before setting off on the regularity route by the members of the teams entered in the competition. The test will consist of 15 multiple-choice questions about the competition area, with a single correct answer, and the maximum time allowed is 7 minutes. Each team member will answer 5 questions;
- Scoring: according to the Ștafeta Munților rules;
- Counts towards the overall ranking of the competition.

4. Cultural and artistic event:
- Theme: sport, tourism, nature, ecology;
- Duration: approx. 25 minutes;
- Scoring: according to the Ștafeta Munților rules;
- Content: at least 3 songs, a humorous sketch and a poem;
- Counts towards the overall ranking of the competition.
Important: for all compulsory events, the ȘTAFETA MUNȚILOR RULES, which you can find at www.stafetamuntilor.ro, will be strictly observed.
Competition categories:
FAMILY – teams of 3 people, with at least one adult and compulsorily at least one child aged 13 or under;
JUNIORS – teams of 3 people, regardless of sex, aged between 14 and 20 (completed years);
ELITE – teams of 3 people, regardless of sex and age;
SENIORS – teams of 3 people aged between 35 and 50, regardless of sex;
VETERANS – teams of 3 people aged over 50, regardless of sex;
WOMEN – teams of 3 women, regardless of age;
OPEN – teams of 3 people, regardless of age and sex. Times are calculated as touring times.

Friday 5 August:
- 12:00–22:00 Arrival of participants
- 22:30 Technical briefing
- 24:00 Lights out
Saturday 6 August:
- 07:30–18:00 Technical and theory events
- 22:00 Cultural and artistic event and campfire
Sunday 7 August:
- 11:00 – Prize-giving ceremony! We go home with new memories and the thought that we will see each other again soon.
Note:
- competitors who are not wearing hiking boots or footwear with a grippy sole cannot enter the mountain raid event.
Camp rules:
Competitors will be accommodated in tents, under the guidance of the organisers.
There will be a single fire pit; setting up additional fire pits is forbidden.
Each club will receive a rubbish bag on arrival at the camp.
Clubs are required to carry the collected rubbish to the special collection points near the camp.
The group leader is responsible for informing the members of his or her group of the accident prevention rules and the norms of mountain conduct, as well as of the competition rules.
The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the programme of the competition events depending on the weather.
Cars may be parked in the immediate vicinity of the camp under the guidance of the organisers; their access into the tent camp is forbidden.
