Summer Activities with theDrumeții Montane Association

Had enough of the city? Would you like to spend a weekend with the DRUMEȚII MONTANE ASSOCIATION, where you can take part free of charge in activities such as: hiking, climbing, orienteering, campfire and other surprise events?
We look forward to seeing you at one of the events below, where we will take part under the name JNEPENII (a large group of people from all over the country):
More than 200 people from all over the country take part in these events and no participation fees are charged.
EVENT DATE 6–8 September 2013
Venue: Postăvaru Mountains, Cheile Râșnoavei area, town of Râșnov, Brașov County
Access routes: Access to Cheile Râșnoavei is from National Road 73A Predeal – Râșnov, on a paved road that branches off to the right, eastwards, in the area of the tourist facilities at kilometre 20.
TENT CAMP
EVENT DATE 13–15 September 2013
Venue: Șureanu Mountains, with the tent camp set up at Gura Popii, upstream of the Lunca Florii chalet – Șureanu Mountains, Hunedoara.
Access routes: From in front of and to the left of Petrila Town Hall, Hunedoara County, along Strada Taia (the Taia valley) for 8 km.
TENT CAMP
YOU WILL NEED:
TENT, SLEEPING BAG, SLEEPING MAT, HIKING BOOTS
WHAT DO WE DO THERE?
We take part in various activities: orienteering, hiking, theory tests, climbing, campfire, we make new friends, surprise activities..... or as a spectator (no activity is compulsory).

WHO CAN TAKE PART?
Anyone, regardless of age.
WHAT ABOUT TRANSPORT, FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION?
Each participant/member pays for their own transport; everyone gets to the camp however they can (own car, train, coach, etc.).
Food: everyone brings from home whatever he/she thinks they can eat (tinned food, etc.).
Accommodation: It is a tent camp and we will be staying in tents, but if you are not used to tents you can enquire in the area about which guesthouses have rooms available.
