2015 was a very competitive year for the participants in the "Ștafeta Munților" (Mountain Relay) National Sports Tourism Championship, on which occasion 9 stages were organised, in which 84 sports tourism clubs from Romania and from abroad took part.
The "Ștafeta Munților" National Sports Tourism Championship is a sports tourism competition, organised at national/international level, whose aim is to create the organisational and competitive framework for developing lasting relationships, based on eco-tourism, sporting and environmental protection principles.
The participants visited nine spectacular areas of Romania: Munții Măcin, Masivul Piatra Mare, Masivul Parâng, Munții Căpățânii, Munții Bucegi, Munții Făgăraș, Munții Cozia, Masivul Siriu, Munții Piatra Craiului, where they competed in various mountain events in one or more of the categories: Family, Juniors, Veterans, Women, Open, Elite.
Because every championship must also have an awards ceremony, this year's honorary organiser, together with the organising clubs and with those that took part this year, invites you to the AWARDS CEREMONY OF THE "ȘTAFETA MUNȚILOR" NATIONAL SPORTS TOURISM CHAMPIONSHIP, a ceremony that will take place from 6 to 8 November 2015 in the resort of Călimănești – Căciulata in Vâlcea County, at the Cozia Hotel Complex.
We look forward to seeing you, to applaud, congratulate and reward the most deserving among us, but also to compete in events that will bring out creativity and good cheer!
Because every year there is also a masked ball, this year we decided to give our ball a theme, and that will be: Traditional Romanian Dress. Those arriving at the ceremony will wear costumes matching the theme.
