2015 was a year full of environmental education activities for the 512 schools in Romania that took part in the Eco Junior Project, a project carried out by the Drumeții Montane Association together with more than 1,500 teachers.
The main objective was to educate children in an ecological spirit, because they are the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world for the better at this moment.
Everything that happens in the environment is directly reflected in all of our lives, which is why the Drumeții Montane Association and dozens of teachers have decided that the Eco Junior Project should continue in 2016, as a follow-up to the success of 2015.
The Eco Junior 2016 Project, with the help of those who get involved, will continue educating children in an ecological spirit. This project is addressed to teachers in Romania who are interested in environmental education and who wish to get involved as volunteers in organising eco-recreational activities with a playful touch.
Through the activities organised by the volunteers of the Drumeții Montane Association, together with the delegated teachers, pupils will acquire important ecological knowledge and a special attachment to nature, feeding their motivation and desire to take part in as many activities as possible to keep the environment clean.
The activities within the Eco Junior 2016 Project vary – as we have already become accustomed – according to the pupils' age, which is why the delegated teacher will choose the type of activities to be organised within the project.
The Eco Junior 2016 Project is once again supported by Ch-Center.com, which offers its professional hosting services.
If you teach at primary, lower secondary, high school or pre-school level, we invite you to sign up for the project!
