Sports tourism competition - the 3rd stage of the National Championship "Ștafeta Munților" (the Mountain Relay) & FRTS
National Festival - Lira Rarăului – stage IV of the National Championship of Artistic Creation and Performance – "Lira României"
The event is aimed both at clubs and associations in the field and at lovers of activities specific to mountain tourism. The event is specially designed in two categories: intensely sporting, and Family relaxation.
What's happening?
Friday – 30 June 2023
10:00: Welcoming the participants - at the Dumbrava Minunată Complex.
19:00: Official opening of the festival (in the BTT mushroom pavilion) - Mini-recital by guests and hosts
21:00: Technical briefing with the participants' representatives - one member
per club / group (in the complex's summer garden)
24:00: Lights out in the camping area
Saturday – 1 July 2023
7:30 Start - Theoretical events
* 15 multiple-choice questions about the competition area, with a single correct answer. Each team member will answer 5 questions. On
the website www.stafetamuntilor.ro you will find the questions.
Points awarded: 300 points. Penalties: 20 points / 1 wrong answer
8:00 Start of the regularity route - Mountain raid * a mountain route of approximately 8 hours, with an elevation gain of 950 m. Participation is in teams of 3 members. You cannot enter this event without boots/trainers with a special grippy sole for trekking.
Important: The Family category will have an age-appropriate route of up to 4 hours.
Competition categories:
Family: teams of 3 members, at least one adult and, compulsorily, at least one child aged 13 or under
Juniors: teams of 3 members, 14 - 20 years old, regardless of sex
Elite: teams of 3 members regardless of age and sex
Open: teams of 3 members regardless of age and sex
Women: teams of 3 members, who must be female
Seniors: teams of 3 members, all aged over 35, regardless of sex
Veterans: teams of 3 members, all aged over 50, regardless of sex
Points awarded: 10,000 points. Penalties: 10 pts / 1 minute and 500 pts / 1 PFA
7:00-10:00: Display of the works for Lira Rarăului – stage 4 of the national championship of artistic creation and performance Lira României.

Graphic art - 100 points - Theme: Climbing (2 A4 works),
Caricature - 100 points - Theme - Sports tourism competition stage (2 A4 works),
Ecological poster - 100 points – Theme - WATER - The essence of life (1 poster, minimum A3 format, or 3D models); Registrations for participation in the display events are made by Wednesday 28 June 2023 at the latest, on WhatsApp at the number 0739884079.
10:00-19:00: Judging and viewing of the exhibition
11:00: Start of the Climbing event (weather permitting) - Prizes are awarded separately according to the height climbed and the time achieved, by category, and the results are added to the Overall ranking of the Trophy.
17:30: Start of the Orienteering event - a speed event on the map. The whole team will enter this event.
Points awarded: 5,000 points. Penalties: 1 pt / 1 second
19:00: Start of the Slide Show / video event - 250 points – theme: Life in the Mountains, maximum duration 4 minutes. Photographs set to a musical background are not accepted unless they express "a story", a message clearly defined by the title. The Slide show/video competition materials will be handed over to the organisers by Saturday 1 July 2023, 10:00 at the latest.
21:00: Cultural Event - 500 points
*on a theme specific to mountain tourism: music, poetry, sketch/satire and humour. – maximum duration 20 minutes (at least 3 songs, a poem, a humorous piece), with at least 2 people from the club taking part.
24:00: Lights out in the camping area;
Sunday – 2 July 2023:
08:00 - Posting of the Rankings 08:30-9:00 – Submission of appeals
09:00-09:30 - Resolution of Appeals
10:30 - Prize-giving ceremony
12:00 – Cleaning up the camp and departure of the participants for home.
IMPORTANT:
- For all compulsory events, the ȘTAFETA MUNȚILOR RULES, which you can find at www.stafetamuntilor.ro, and the rules of the National Championship of Artistic Creation and Performance – "Lira României", which you can find at www.turismsportiv.ro, will be strictly observed
To take part in the mountain raid event of Trofeul Aventura în Natură, each team must be equipped with a compass and know how to use it. Those coming to the event for the first time can ask the organisers or other participants in order to learn how to use it.
Useful information:
The venue of "Trofeul Aventura în Natură" is the Dumbrava Minunată Tourist Complex in Câmpulung Moldovenesc, located 15 minutes' walk from the Câmpulung Moldovenesc Nord CFR railway station.
Camping - Tents will be pitched in the indicated area and only under the guidance of the organisers.
Camping area facilities:
Toilets, hot-water showers, summer garden, entertainment area for children (visit www.complexdumbravaminunata.ro / Facebook: Gradina de Vara Campulung Moldovenesc)
Parking: Cars will be parked only in the place indicated by the organisers. The distance from the drop-off point to the camping site is a maximum of 300 m.
Compulsory equipment:
- individual: hiking boots/trekking trainers, cape, whistle, torch, fire source
- team: compass, water bottle, first aid kit and, very importantly: a photo camera or a telephone with a camera.
