Youth Days 2013 withthe Drumeții Montane Association

On the occasion of the Youth Days, a programme that took place in the centre of the city of Târgu Jiu in Gorj county, the Drumeții Montane Association organised various activities with young people for young people. The Voluntar pentru Viitor (Volunteer for the Future) project proved to be a real success, because young people who want to get involved in volunteering activities were informed about the opportunities they can have if they register on the website www.voluntaringorj.ro. At the same time, through this website NGOs can register and add a presentation of the NGO they represent, and through the web page they can recruit volunteers for their activities.
The second activity was 45 degrees QUEST 2013, a different kind of orienteering where participants received a map and a few clues, and their task was to find the shapes left by the punch after they finished the quest. Children under 14 also took part in this activity, and they were rewarded with diplomas at the end. Young people over 14 were awarded diplomas and prizes offered by the Gorj County Directorate for Sport and Youth (DJST Gorj) and the Drumeții Montane Association.
If you like the activities of the Drumeții Montane Association, you can take part in the Ștafeta Munților (the Mountain Relay) National Championship, a championship which this year consists of seven stages taking place in different areas of Romania.
