This year, 591 educational institutions from Romania will take part in the ECO JUNIOR 2017 project, in which approximately 3,000 teachers, together with the volunteers of the Drumeții Montane Association, will organise actions promoting the environment and a healthy lifestyle among children.
The children involved in Eco Junior 2017 will take part, in teams, in specific activities according to their age, and will learn teamwork, how to support one another, how to socialise and how to acquire characteristic skills.
Parents must understand that it is not enough for a child simply to attend school diligently; the child must also be involved in many extracurricular activities.
In education, the greatest impact comes from the parent, who can be a role model, which is why the child must be encouraged to get involved in such projects.
The Eco Junior project is organised, as every year, by volunteers. We thank the teachers who got involved and who have shown that their pupils are like their own children.

For parents who would like other projects for their children, we invite them to take part this year in the "Ștafeta Munților" (the Mountain Relay) National Sports Tourism Championship, within which 7 events will be organised in various mountain areas of Romania.
The category intended for them is "Family", in which parents, together with their child or children, will cover mountain trails, take part in an orienteering event and learn details about the mountain area through play.
